A Glaswegian In Edinburgh
Well, this is my first blog on Wordpress.
Forgive me for all the messing around but there have been a few website disasters lately but hopefully things will settle down a bit now. Last week, my painting which some people think looks a bit like Andy Murray scratching his bum like the girl in the 70’s poster, appeared in the national press. Jo Whiley very kindly mentioned it on Radio 1 at 12pm on Monday. Joehendry.com
promptly melted after over 500 hits in 30 seconds or so.
On Tuesday, I was interviewed live on Talk Sport and when I was asked if all Scots were dour or was it just Andy Murray, I answered that it depended wether you came from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Roll on Wednesday and a nasty email calling me a “bitter weegie” and saying that people from Edinburgh did indeed have a sense of humour. I had actually been in Edinburgh that day (see photographic proof!). In my reply, I told the writer of this and not only that, but that I loved the city, had worked there for 11 years and was looking forward to my first exhibition there which would be soon.
Perhaps when he wrote his email he just wanted to underline my point
